Riccall Tennis Club reopens!

Dear Riccall Tennis Club Members,

I hope this email finds you well. I have some very exciting news which I am sure you are already aware of, and that is that tennis outdoors is now allowed. Riccall Tennis Club will be open from Thursday 14^th May 2020. Our courts will be open to both 2020 members and guests.

We have been given some very strict guidelines by both the Government and the LTA which we need to adhere to in order to ensure we can partake in tennis safely and respect each others space. Please only play with members of your own household, or if you are playing with a member of another household please ensure that it is singles only. 1-2-1 private tennis coaching is also allowed and available, please take a look at my website tennisevents.net for the coaching information. I have attached our safety guidelines below – set out by the Lawn Tennis Association, please read these fully before you play. The full document can also be found here.

To prevent overcrowding at the tennis club, we now have an integrated booking system on our website. This can be found here.

If you are wanting to play, please ensure you book a tennis court before playing. Tennis courts 2,3 and 4 are available for bookings. Once booked, you will receive an automated reply confirming your booking date and time. If you need to cancel your booking, please reply to this automated booking confirmation requesting a cancellation.

I would like to say a very big thank you to those members who responded to my plea for club funds and who renewed their memberships in April. We rely heavily on our membership income and especially needed it after our large expenses which we had to pay for our brand-new club house and tennis courts. Those members who paid their full fees at the point of Lockdown will be offered the below membership fees for next season, 2021/22.

For those of you who have not renewed your memberships, please find the pro-rated rates below. Please ensure you renew your 2020 membership before playing. Memberships are required for all players. There are memberships for those Juniors and Adults who only come to coaching sessions (121s or groups) and full memberships are required by those members who wish to access the courts at any time and attend club nights and club events.

We also have a new gate code which you will only receive once you have renewed your membership. Please ensure that you are only playing on the tennis courts if you are a member, or if you have paid a guest fee.

• A guest playing with a member – £5 per hour per person
• A non-member guest fee – £10 per hour per person

If you are having any coaching sessions, please be aware that you will need to be a member or pay your guest fee upon arrival.

These can be paid by cash, BACs or cheque. Please let a member of the Riccall Tennis Club Committee know once you have transferred your fees and we will send you the new gate code.
